Rachel Mewbron

Rachel Mewbron is a highly regarded Miller Voice Method instructor who currently maintains a diverse client base in both New York and Atlanta. In addition to her private coaching, she serves as the Assistant Professor of Acting at Western Carolina University, where she passionately shares her expertise with aspiring performers. Rachel has had the privilege of teaching at several notable schools throughout her career, including prestigious institutions such as the University of Georgia, Brenau University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the New York Film Academy.

She is currently Managing Director for Sketchbook Theatre with input into season selection, marketing strategies, and artistic insights.

She was the Artistic Director of Studio Tisch, helping to shape its artistic vision and support the featured artists. She directed the production of Sing Sing at Chautauqua Theater Company, and also created and devised engaging work specifically for teens at the Red House Theater. As an actress she’s worked Off-Broadway at BAM, PS122, NYTW, 4th Street Theatre, Wheelhouse Theatre, 59E59. In the Regions, starring as Abigail in The Crucible (Broadway World Award for Best Supporting Actress), Miranda in The Tempest, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. She has worked in independent films, commercials, and she wrote, produced, and starred in the web series COHAB. Currently she is developing and workshopping a solo show about the “sandwich generation” and the state of care in the US.

Rachel holds an MFA from the Graduate Acting Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
